CroYdon Vineyard Estate Annual Grape Stomping Festival

CroYdon Vineyard Estate Annual Grape Stomping Festival

CroYdon Vineyard Estate is doing it again!

On Friday, 15th March from 17:30, the CroYdon Grape Stomping festival will kick off when grapes are poured into the wine-press, which is normally used as a water feature!

Homeowners, family and friends get into the wine-press and start squishing the grapes, warmed by the summer sun, with their bare feet, with glass of wine in hand, of course ;)

For those of you who've not yet tried this, it is an absolute must!

It's rather therapeutic and none of this 'eeeuwww! dirty-feet-wine' stuff!  The stomped grapes are not actually used for wine, and are discarded after all the fun and shenanigans.  Our cellar-master Beyers Truter, and wine maker, Corius Visser, are both very serious about their wine, and will have nothing to do with the mess we would have created while having so much fun.

The evening will include live music from Anton Le Roux, a jumping castle for the kiddies as well as a selection of eats ranging from curry and rice, hamburgers and hot-dogs.
Spend the evening on the lawn relaxing while the children enjoy the freedom of being on a farm.

A selection of the Estate wine will be available.

Join in all the fun, and experience the joy and freedom we as homeowners and residents on this Estate have to come to experience as synonyms with CroYdon Vineyard Estate.
Tickets are R60.00 per person, and children under 12 are free.
Bookings are essential!  Please call the Estate to book: 021 843 3610
